Jeff Lien is a 1990 graduate of California State University San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Business Management, concentration in Finance and Appraisal.
After college, and a brief period as a staff appraiser with Home Savings & Loan in Santa Clara County, the next six years was also as a staff appraiser with Sierra Bay Farm Credit Services (now Ag Credit) in Stockton, CA. In 1997 a position was offered by a property management company in the SF Bay Area which specialized in multi-family residential units and commercial properties. In 1998, Jeff joined The Ranch Co. (TRC) as an appraiser, eventually obtaining a real estate sales license. TRC (now a division of Pearson Realty) is a full service real estate services company, based in Visalia, CA, and specializes in dairy facilities, cropland and ranches.
Currently, Jeff is a principal partner and stockholder in Edwards, Lien & Toso, Inc. (ELT), an agricultural appraisal and brokerage firm formed in April of 2001 with Randy Edwards, ARA and Tony Toso, ARA. ELT's primary service area is the San Joaquin and Sacramento Valley regions with specialization in farm, ranch, dairy facility, permanent planting, wineries, conservation easement, special use property appraisal and brokerage. Projects are also accepted in certain Southern California, the North and Central Coast markets.
Jeff is a Candidate for Appraisal Institute Designation, not having completed the required education and testing for Designation and has also completed the continuing education program of the Appraisal Institute. In 1993 Jeff was certified by the State of California as a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser.
Jeff has also served on the ASFMRA's California Chapter Education Committee, the Land Value Trends committee of the California Chapter ASFMRA and the San Joaquin Valley Ag Lenders Society. |
